This 143cm (56 1/4') long taiaha is made from sustainably harvested tulip wood, an incredible hardwood that is tough but lightweight.

The tongue of the taiaha (the arero) is made from pounamu, New Zealand greenstone jade.

The rau, the striking blade, is carved at the lower end with koru.

Because of the greenstone tongue, this taiaha is not made for mau rakau, but rather as a beautiful ornamental piece.

Perfect for 21st and other birthdays, as well as a corporate or business gift for someone retiring.

Because of its value and size, it can only be shipped overseas by Courier.

Engraving:
The blade can be laser engraved with a person's name (only), and it can also be paua engraved. There is a limit with both laser and paua engraving, of 12 characters, and paua engraving must be in CAPITALS. This is simply due to there not being a lot of room to engrave on.
